We are seeking a dedicated Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in Neurology with a focus on geriatric neurological care for a well-established hospital near Düsseldorf. This position offers a direct employment contract with the hospital and is supported by a professional personnel consultancy that will guide you confidentially and free of charge throughout the entire application process.
Your Responsibilities
- Comprehensive clinical management of inpatient and outpatient neurological patients with an emphasis on elderly care
- Active participation in the development and expansion of the stroke unit and neurological department
- Execution and supervision of advanced diagnostic procedures, including extracranial and transcranial Doppler/duplex sonography
- Leadership and mentoring of assistant physicians, including training and performance evaluation
- Engagement in on-call duties and emergency neurological care
Your Profile
- Board-certified Neurologist (m/w/d) with recognized specialist qualification
- Proven experience in acute neurology, particularly stroke management
- Proficiency in neurological ultrasound techniques
- Additional qualifications in geriatrics and neurological intensive care are highly desirable
- Commitment to advancing a new specialized department
- Strong leadership skills, reliability, flexibility, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary teamwork
