The employer is a large global provider of life reinsurance, with offices around the world.

  • Identify actual client needs that RGA is not presently serving.
  • Design solutions for those needs.
  • Implement transactions to maximize profits and control risk to RGA while meeting client objectives.
  • Jointly with manager, decide where to allocate GFS EMEA BD and Pricing resources.
  • Enhance RGA’s brand externally by carrying out branding activities (e.g. participate in industry or professional working groups, make industry conference presentations, write journal articles, etc).
  • Contribute proactively and effectively to the development and execution of the sales and marketing strategy for RGA Global Financial Solutions in EMEA.
  • As assigned, enthusiastically and effectively lead RGA deal teams on time-critical opportunities, including members from GFS EMEA Business Development, GFS Pricing, GFS Marketing & Transaction Services, RGA Corporate Legal and others as relevant to each deal.
  • Develop effective working relationships with senior RGA colleagues from GFS, Corporate, Legal, Investments and European Acquisitions and with all local RGA offices in continental Europe and leverage these relationships to contribute to RGA’s overall growth and success.
  • Be an expert in Solvency II, IFRS insurance accounting and other financial measurement systems and share that expertise with others in RGA via relevant working groups and project teams.
  • Anticipate and monitor industry regulatory changes which impact reinsurance transactions and communicate these changes within RGA and to clients.

  • University degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering or related fields

  • 15+ years of experience in life (re)insurance, investment banking or consulting

  • Deep knowledge of Solvency II regulations and the practical challenges they present for European life insurers.
  • Detailed knowledge of life insurers’ valuation and projection models for generating Solvency II balance sheet, SCR and reporting requirements, or
  • Recognition in the European insurance industry as an expert in reinsurance solutions under Solvency II
