We are currently looking for a skilled & passionate Engineering Manager to become part and direct one of our Tech Teams at Joblift.

Our product is the heart of the company. We strive to build the first digital career advisor of the recruiting space because it is our mission to solve one of the problems of mankind: The Job Search. We want to build a recommendation engine that matches job seekers with companies in a completely new way and by that bring the Job Search to the next level.

As Engineering Manager, you will direct a team of 8 to 15 developers. With your deep understanding of software development and expertise in building digital products, you will constantly balance the right degree of complexity with business impacts and requirements from stakeholders. You will also play a key role in architectural decisions and in cutting dependencies. In addition to these technical responsibilities, you are also really interested in making others great. Therefore, you achieve a team culture of growth by giving meaningful feedback and identifying growth opportunities for your team members.

This would be your main responsibilities

Team Management

  • Personal Development: regular 1:1, Feedback Meetings, Trainings/Conferences, continuous learning
  • Hiring: coordinate recruiting, Conduct interviews, Trial days
  • Supervising: vacations, salary, etc.

Delivery Development

  • Engineer in one of our cross-functional product teams
  • Technical sparring partner of the product owner and help to prioritize topics
  • Scoping and Designing technical solutions

Project Management

  • Define Engineering Practices
  • Best practice sharing across product teams
  • Support with engineering staffing across product teams

Ideally you ...

  • … bring at least five years experience as a software engineer
  • … bring 2+ years of experience leading an engineering team
  • … write well-structured, efficient and maintainable code and actively keep the quality of the codebase in check
  • … have a deep understanding of data messaging and microservices
  • … feel comfortable with people management topics and have worked in a leading role in a fast-changing environment before
